To Grind or Not To Grind

To Grind or Not to Grind?

Every smoker has a preference on the topic of grinding. Some people like to just throw their herbs in a The #RIPiece Program bowl and let it burn slowly.  But there’s plenty of smokers out there who still go for a nice, old-fashioned joint.  If paper smoking is your preference, you may want to consider buying a grinder. Here are some reasons we think grinding is a good call.

Breaking Up is Hard to Do

No matter if your smoking method of choice is bowl or bong, glass pipes or paper, you are gonna have to break up your stash. For a lot of smokers, this is a bit of a chore. Separating herbs can be a sticky situation. A good grinder will eliminate the hassle for you. Just throw the pieces in, twist it up, and you’ll be good to smoke in no time.

Save Smoking Time

How much time do you think it takes to break up your herbs?  It kind of depends on the quality, but even so, it’s a pain.  Having to pick everything apart by hand can be time consuming. You want to get to the good part, and forget about the prep work.  Grind up in no time so you can spend more time smoking. That’s the whole point, right?

Storage Space

Your grinder can be a great place to store your herbs.  Grinders tend to be pretty airtight, so storing dry herbs in there is pretty fool proof.  Chances are pretty low that you’ll spill any of your precious stash if it is sealed up nicely in your grinder.  This will also help conceal odors.  A cool plus is that your herbs are already where they need to go.  You’re all set to grind up and pack.  Those precious minutes you usually spend on taking it out, breaking it up, load your bowl or roll a joint, are drastically reduced when all that you need is already set in your grinder.  It may not seem like a lot of time when we’re talking about it, but trust us, those seconds and minutes add up.

If you aren’t sold on grinding already, we’re here to take it a step further.  You want some inside grinding tips?  The Toker Supply team has your back on that.  Grind like a pro with these awesome tricks:

Less is More: You may be tempted to pack your grinder full to the brim.  Resist!  If you pack your grinder too tight, your result will not be as fine as you’d like it to be.  Packing less may take a little more time, but it will deliver the quality smoke that you’re looking for.

Upside Down Grounds: Here’s a little known tip.  When you pack your grinder and begin the action, turn it upside down.  This usually grinds the herb a lot more finely than if it were upright.  Be careful though.  Hold the the top of the grinder tightly so it won’t fall off.  You don’t want your tobacco to tragically fly away.

What Kind of Grinder Should You Get?

Another cool aspect of grinders is that they range in price.  So even if you are a toker on a budget, you’ll be able to afford a grinder.  Here are some of Toker Supply’s top choices:
